Empowering Women, Transforming Families
We believe women are the key drivers of economic growth in Pignon. Through the Resilient Women’s Association, we provide more than just funding—we provide the education and mentorship needed to lift entire families out of poverty.
The Power of a Microloan
A one-time gift of $200 serves as vital seed capital, creating a “multiplier effect” that benefits the whole community.
- Financial Independence: Empowering women to manage their own finances and lead household decisions.
- Emergency Security: Providing savings for urgent needs, like emergency transportation to health facilities.
- Self-Esteem & Dignity: Building confidence through successful business ownership and vocational skills.
This is how that works:
- The Seed: A woman in the Resilient Women’s Association receives a $200 loan.
- The Business: She uses this capital to launch a small business (produce, clothing, or essentials) and establish a family emergency fund.
- The Cycle: As her business grows, she repays the loan in manageable installments.
- The Growth: Repaid funds are immediately redeployed to empower the next woman in line.
Guidance & Prayer: Appolon and his wife meet with these entrepreneurs twice a month to provide business training, spiritual encouragement, and prayer. When a woman in Pignon thrives, her entire family—and the community—thrives with her.
