Youth Action for Haiti – What We Believe
Youth Action for Haiti is a Christ-centered ministry. Our work with children, youth and families in Haiti grows out of these core beliefs.
- The Bible – We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is our final and trustworthy guide for what we believe and how we live.
- God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We believe in one God who exists forever as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. - Jesus Christ – We believe Jesus Christ is God’s Son, fully God and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will come again in power and glory.
- Salvation and New Life – We believe all people are separated from God by sin and need His forgiveness. Salvation comes only by God’s grace, through repentance and faith n Jesus Christ. Those who trust in Him receive new life by the Holy Spirit and the promise of eternal life with God.
- The Holy Spirit and the Church – We believe the Holy Spirit lives in believers, empowering them to live a godly life. All true followers of Jesus are united as one spiritual family – the Church.
- Our Mission as Believers – We believe every follower of Jesus is called to share the good news of salvation, to help others grow as disciples of Christ, and to live a life of prayer, service, and obedience to Him.
- Human Life, Marriage, and Family – We believe every human life is sacred from conception to natural death. We believe God created Human beings as male and female and designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. God’s good design for sexuality is to be expressed only within marriage.
These beliefs shape our ministry, our relationships, and our commitment to serve the people of Haiti in the name of Jesus.
