Scholarship News – March 2026

Abigaëlle is a brilliant 16-year-old student with a resilient spirit.

Although she is currently in 5th grade, she should already be in high school; financial hardships forced her to pause her education for over three years.

Despite the gap, she is determined to stay in school and catch up.

Your scholarship gift of $30/month helps a child like Abigaëlle stay in school where she belongs.

Scholarship News – February 2026

Thamara’s journey is a testament to resilience. In 2023, she became critically ill, spending most of the year in the hospital instead of the classroom.

Despite her physical suffering, her faith never wavered.

When national exams arrived, Thamara—still recovering—begged for the chance to participate. Though she had missed months of instruction and her family was burdened by medical debt, our principal gave her the green light.

Against the odds, Thamara placed as the second-best performer in the school.

Now in 10th grade, she is just two years away from graduation. Please pray for her continued health and focus as she pursues her future.

Child Scholarship News – January 2026

Nacheka is a standout student at Emile Durkheim Christian School—intelligent, respectful, and full of potential. However, in 2019, her education nearly came to an abrupt end when her parents faced overwhelming financial hardship.

Unwilling to let such a talented student slip away, her principal and teacher stepped in, personally splitting the cost of her tuition from their own modest salaries.

When Appolon learned of their sacrifice, he took over the scholarship himself, recognizing that these teachers were already giving so much by working for very little.

Today, Nacheka is a high school freshman, just three years away from graduation, thanks to a community that refused to give up on her.

Child Scholarship News – December 2025

Jesumène, a high school senior in Pignon, Haiti, is a testament to the power of opportunity. A few years ago, when her parents could no longer afford her tuition, Jesumène refused to let her circumstances define her future. Rather than succumbing to the pressures that lead many young girls into exploitation, she courageously sought help, asking us simply, “What can you do for me?” We welcomed her with open arms and a promise that her education would be fully covered. Today, she is at the top of her class and dreams of becoming a teacher, eager to reinvest the blessings she has received back into her community.
